Just so I don’t have to respond individually, the real follows seem to have corrected itself out of nowhere this past week. And I was able to see from a third party site the names of all the bots that were purged. All is well! Still have no idea how that many bots bypassed alerts/activity.

I hope so too. I’ve reached out to a handful of people but I stopped going down the list after awhile. It does seem though at least that the mystery bots were removed. I’ve just never been botted where the names weren’t even listed or where active chatters were hit too. 😫

It removed followers who I know for a fact are not bots, 15+ accounts I’ve noticed already are IRL friends or people who have been around my community since the very start. So needless to say I’m frustrated. Please spread the word and if you were removed and wish to refollow, please do. 5/5 🥴💜

Meanwhile, I used the twitch tool to remove 1,493 “known bots” this morning and unfortunately it removed follows from several real accounts. Both of the longest subs on my channel and founders were flagged as bots. I have been reaching out to a few people but going down this list is exhausting. 4/5

trigger my alerts, and I wouldn’t have noticed had my follower goal not alerted me out of the blue. I can also confirm that this has happened to at least one other streamer that same night, although I don’t know if their active chat also got botted. It seems those who were lurking were safe. 3/5

in my chat also got botted. I’ve never seen unobtrusive follow bots before, and I’ve never seen community members in chat also get follow botted even though they weren’t online. I was tempted to tell everyone to stop chatting but we were all watching our follow count skyrocket. The bots did not 2/5
