Here's Rowan looking fine and sassy, and Annie just looking longingly at grass.

Our first calf of 2025 was born this afternoon. A perfect little heifer born to a first-calf heifer. Both are strong, doing everything right, and absolutely smitten with each other. I'll get better pics tomorrow.

Happy Caturday from Suz the Cat! 🩷

This year, instead of stocking stuffers for my family, I'm making rainforest birdhouses for them. I've left it until the last minute, of course.

This is one of Larkin's favorite projects until it's time to use noisy power tools. She loves collecting sticks and moss and lichen and more sticks.

Stick of the Day

We walked out to the road to get the Sunday paper and I saw a white beacon shining in the woods. It was a big ice flower growing out of the top of a tree trunk. Sorry it's out of focus. My phone camera won't take sharp pics anymore. Anyway, I got pics and Larkin got a great stick.

Happy #SkySunday to all who celebrate.

Larkin and I are on our first perimeter check of the morning. Dark and frosty northern morning at the bee farm. There's a wild thing scream-talking down in the woods. I'm hoping it isn't the cougar.

I saw a shooting star just now. A good omen, right?

For Thanksgiving, Suz the Cat was made to wear one of the chicken hats that my sister gave to me. It suits her, I think.

Wishing everyone the happiest Thanksgiving / Family / Friends Day.

Tonight's (Wednesday) sunset during my after dinner walk with Larkin feels like a gift. ❤️

Whatta day. Sounded windy at times last night but not so windy as some storms that frighten Larkin.

At 6AM, I took Annie's meds to her & she & Rowan were gone. Annie's double shelter had rolled over onto its roof in the night & torn open the fencing. The geldings were still safe in their paddock.

A glorious early morning here! My pics don't do justice to the colorful beauty of the clouds, or of my favorite cow, Good.

Goody had something on her mind this morning that she tried to share with me but I was too dense to understand her.

She's really much prettier than this pic lets on.

I finally got a daylight capture of the bobcat that's been at the bee farm for the past two weeks. Such a pretty kitty. This is the first one I've seen there.
