I lived my entire life believing I could never have too many tomatoes until I came home to that behemoth. Not only did it spread some leaf fungus all over, it also dropped enough unreachable tomatoes that most of the bed was seedlings this spring.

Arch uses much less PVC but it's harder to change its shape and size if one of those plants decides to go wild. My experience with those types of tomatoes is that they love to double in size the second you ignore them for a few days. Had one take over an entire bed while I was out of town

What a great problem to have. I use a square for beds with taller stuff and an arch for lower to the ground plants. Square will work for any bed but the arch can be tricky for some bed dimensions.

Ive made a few attempts at this over the seasons. For tomatoes, I had pretty good luck with building a PVC frame to suspend the hardware cloth. Light enough to lift is needed and easy to disassemble at the end of the season.

I cured covid by inhaling the vapors from this. Make sure you use the right number of ice cubes!

A really nice native plant garden goes untended. Nobody noticed because that was the plan for it all along.
