Watching many on the left celebrate the death of a man killed by a buffalo while stalking it is deepening the divide between myself and the party and orgs I used to support.

This the sort of idiocy one has when all their “knowledge” about a policy comes from pop culture. The deregulation of suppressors is probably the only good thing in that bill and I hope it survives the Senate.
Trump’s Gangster State gathers its weapons: Republicans just voted to deregulate gun suppressors. Sure to thrill mobsters, but public safety be damned.

Gun control advocates that point to the reduced shootings during the federal AWB are either lying with statistics or regurgitating those lies.

I don’t have any problem with discussing exceptions we think there ought to be, so long as we understand we can’t legislate (or wish) them into existence and that they don’t exist just because we believe in them.
