That is as stunning as it is scary. The FBI had numbers and names of the Proud Boys and the 3Percenters, and knew where they were organized. And we even had estimates of the size and whereabouts of Al Queda.

You can’t dismiss birthright citizenship as anachronistic because it addressed a specific situation at a specific time in our history - without applying the same test to the 2nd Amendment. At least not with a straight face. Birthright citizenship is a fundamental right. Period.

Kagan’s scathing dissent is coolly rational and precedent-based. It lays bare the utter disrespect the SCOTUS conservatives have for the thoughtful, meticulous work done by the District Court. This ruling is as embarrassing as it is blatantly partisan.

How exactly were these roofers going to escape? Someone in Congress has to demand to see exactly how these goons are trained, and what procedures if any they must follow. Because it sure looks like anything goes.
