Not the most popular opinion I know but I keep trying and just can't seem to like Bara Bada Bastu. I love a good novelty televote magnet but I just don't really get it.

Next door's smoke alarm goes off at least twice a week and the people in there just don't seem to care about turning it off. It's been going off for half an hour now, there's someone in and no attempt to switch it off....

The BBC was always going to complain about "Kant". The contest rules mean they can't cut the feed and the potential for Ofcom would come down like a ton of bricks was too great to ignore.
It's just the decision came so close to the submission deadline.

Also it's funny that I did A Level German and I'm topping it up with Duolingo and it meant I could near enough understand what was being said in #Eurosong Belgium but I understood zero of #BenidormFestFinal except when the hosts spoke English to a panel member 😂

Things seem a bit crap right now. Everything was doing well a couple of weeks ago and then I'm told that my Dad has cancer. It's treatable and he should recover, but he lives in the US and although we haven't been really close for a while, all of a sudden I can't stop thinking about him.

After paying £5 for underpaid postage, I managed to get my certificate and rosette from @mattchorley.bsky.social and @bbc5live.bsky.social. I didn't think that my Grandma encouraging 8 year old me to walk up to Tony Blair and get his autograph would pay off all these years later.
