made a steak yesterday ... never made a steak before. never cooked raw meat actually before a few months ago (besides bacon and stuff i guess...) when kit & i married, i couldn't even cook eggs. i mean, i could fry a mean egg, but OCD prevented me from eating it... it feels good to be able to do it

made a crazy fire lemon ricotta cake tonight. big hit with my buddies "the neighbors" who live next door, all four of them, from the youngest daughter to the oldest dad.
