I was supposed to do some laundry today, but instead I'm icing my knees after falling up my stairs. Again. Finding an apartment in a building with an elevator and level entry is proving to be a challenge.

I really overdid it this week and my knees are screaming at me today. I have so much work to do sorting crap in my apartment so I'll be ready when I find a new place. Today is all about icing and resting my knees.

It's only Wednesday but I feel like I have worked a full week already. And it's not even our busy season yet. Grateful to have a job that keeps me on my toes.

As a reminder: we are leaving Daylight Saving Time and moving to Standard (or natural) Time when we set our clocks back tonight. People still seem confused by this.

This week absolutely wore me out so today I am doing as little as possible. I love my job, but I keep inheriting more duties each week that other staff can't manage. I dread the next two months as performances ramp up and I get busier than ever.

After I posted last night about my Monday, I discovered my 12-year-old computer is about to give up the ghost. Best Buy is having a great sale on HP laptops, but I don't have that kind of money right now. Hopefully they have sales again in a few months.

Today was the most Monday Monday I've had in a long time. Within 20 minutes of arriving I got: Why didn't you do that thing? (Which is in no way my responsibility) and Why didn't you warn us about the Sunday IT work (No work was scheduled and I am not IT)? It got worse.

Well at least I didn't fall on the stairs this time. Instead I waited until I was in my apartment and tripped over my own feet. Luckily there was a wall to break my fall so I didn't hit the floor.

Nothing like a jackhammer outside and a new razor blade to start the day. Did you know when you shave a layer of skin off your cheekbone it bleeds like crazy? Now sporting a Band-aid under my left eye. Makes me look tough. 😂🤣😂

Today was a LOT at work. I had 2 meetings and 2 training sessions on systems I set up, all while holding down the public desk in my office. I have about 37 more people to train, so it's not gonna ease up for a while. And I am OVER this non-stop humidity...

So glad my knee shots are happening next Tuesday because I am about done with the pain and non-functioning joints. I really need to move to an elevator building so I can start surgery on them. Sigh.

One benefit of today's hot weather is the the clothes I hand-washed yesterday (wasn't up for the trip to the laundromat) completely dried in the oven that is my apartment. Of course it's still about 90 in my place at 7, so that isn't great. 😁

Well I fell up the stairs again this morning after errands in my neighborhood. I've been icing my knees so they seem okay. I really need to move to an elevator building so I can have surgery on them.

Ugh, I really need to move. Affordable elevator buildings are few around here, but one I've had my eye on (walk-in shower!) has units available. Sigh. Maybe I'll win part of the PowerBall on Saturday! 😂

Second day of hot weather and swollen joints. No laundry for me today. Currently icing my knees and watching the original "The Pink Panther" from 1964 because I need some humor in my life.

Because of my current financial situation, I can't even get a small loan from my credit union. One day this will all be behind me and I'll be able to relax for 5 minutes instead of constantly scrambling.

Just looking over upcoming bills (and rent) only to discover I'm short. Seems no matter what I change I can't get ahead. Guess I'll be visiting my favorite pawn shop soon.

It's taken 1/2 hour to empty 1 and 1/2 of my closets. The half left is gonna be a bear since I have boxes piled to the 12' ceiling and 2 small bookcases in that one. The 3rd closet is just a few hanging clothes so won't take long. Taking a short break for my screaming knees.

This weekend I get to empty the 2 closets in my bedroom and one in the hall due to electrical work being done in our building to upgrade to an integrated fire detection system. I put boxes in there 22 years ago, so no telling what I'll find! Hope my knees survive.

Twisted my knee getting out of the shower this morning, so I'm home icing and elevating it. I'd rather be in my air conditioned office, but at least the sewer construction on the street has moved a few blocks away. It's the little things in life...
