I think most people agree that people who want a better life, and come here to find work, should be welcomed here.

We need more people willing to work.

What I’m apposed to is just leaving the door open.

We need to filter out the gang members and find (and help) good honest people.

I’ve read many posts like this. I don’t understand how someone can take hundreds or thousands of invested hours of building a community and just walk away.
Explain it to me.

Christiana Ronaldo sells his posts on instagram for $2.8 Million. He has companies paying the outrageous fees for one reason. The value delivered is worth the fee.

Same for workers vs CEO.

It is the way life is, a tractor operator has a value that is established based on the skill that is brought to bear. A pay that is established based on others willing to do the work for the same pay.

The CEO is no different. Why do some football players make the minimum and others make millions?

Well I do admit to having sarcasm from time to time but siting an actual example of the backlash of what he’s proposing is a normal response.

I have friends and associates who have big business. I have a level of understanding and knowledge of the struggles. Not just the profits.

I don’t understand why not. He suggested a likely outcome/solution and I gave a specific example of one that played out.

So you’re a fan of Elon Musk then.

You fire thousands of workers because the business isn’t profitable then the surviving workers do the work of those that left, and workers agree to extra hours for no additional pay until the business is profitable again.

The notion that if it’s really big they are protected, is preposterous.

Big doesn’t make it protected from risk.

The bigger they are the harder they fall. Nothing is protected and guaranteed.

You’re going of in a different direction because the facts don’t suit you.

You asked why if it’s just a seed.

Then plant your own.

Why they don’t plant their own, is why they work for others.

So, you aren’t aware of the owner who loses everything? You think a business that struggles just raises prices?

Do you think a sports team that has a losing record and is not financially solvent because fans stopped paying to see a team lose games, raises ticket prices to fix the problem?
December 26, 2024 at 10:23 AM
Sure, and the workers make up the difference if the business incurs loses right?

If I do nothing but buy a seed, then why wouldn’t the people who feel they deserve the fruit just buy a seed?

If biz was an apple tree, I’d save up, buy the tree, care for it, take on the financial risk of maintaining it. I’d hire others, pay them an agreed-upon rate to prune it, fertilize it, and protect it from disease.

When harvest season comes, I give all the apples to those I hired and receive none?

So, I’m a nutshell what you’re saying is…republicans are trying to stop the potential cheating?
