In September of 1943, The Hollywood Bond Cavalcade departed Washington, DC and traveled through 16 American cities until finally stopping in San Francisco 3 weeks later. The train traveled 10,091 miles, and raised $40,110,000 for the War Effort.

Never Forget #Ludlow. OTD in 1914 striking miners in their Tent City were massacred by CO Nat'l Guard and CF&I thugs, who opened fire and burned their tent homes. 21 dead, mostly women and children. This national scandal derailed a planned invasion of Mexico by Pres. Wilson.

Badass Cathay Williams (1844-1893) was the only black woman to serve in the US Army during the Civil War.
She posed as a man, "William Cathay," during her service.
After the War, she was a Buffalo Soldier, and settled in Trinidad, CO, until her death in 1893.
