Setting aside the blame game people need these subsidies to (barely) afford health care. Every other civilized country seems to feel their citizens deserve health care and are able to provide it for half of what we spend. I can't imagine a world in which only a few deserve access to health care.

The qualifications are based on income. The fact that so many people qualify says more about the sorry state of our economy and the grossly disproportionate distribution of wealth.

I don't understand how one would blame the Democrats. If anything i would blame the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical middle men.

The ACA has functioned just fine up to now. So the Republicans killed insurance used by 40 million Americans.

And now we know what this has been about from the beginning.
