Shingles is reactivation of the chickenpox virus (Herpes Varicella Zoster (HVZ) virus) in a nerve fiber as your immune defense weakens with time against it (largely because we don't get continued exposure to kids with chickenpox). It awakens in a nerve with blisters and severe pain called shingles.

Young adults ages 40-49 are getting colon cancer at increasing rates. (I suspect microplastics.) This study just showed that testing your stool for iron reduced colon cancer deaths.
