Around the Horn’s run is ending on ESPN in May. I always enjoyed that show and still enjoy PTI. Nothing was as good as The Sports Reporters with Dick Schaap when it ran every Sunday morning with the scribes just chatting about topics with no buzzers, bells, or goofy points.

Covered Class AA/A Region 3 wrestling yesterday and was really impressed by Independence and Herbert Hoover taking the championship and runner-up awards, respectively. They’re boys compete for a state championship in Huntington in two weeks.

Marshall men’s soccer finished their season as national runner-up. If it’s one thing head coach Chris Grassie has taught Herd fans is that he’s capable of building programs that are consistently competitive. The Herd has been in six straight NCAA tourneys.
