I can’t believe how poor Chelsea were tonight... A semi-final second leg that’s an away derby, and they couldn’t even send in a decent cross, never mind create a proper chance. They seemed clueless as to how they might create, all the edge of a velvet circle and an absolute piece of nonsense

86 min Estevao crosses into the box, Joao Pedro can only head back out of it. They’ve been so disappointing in attack it’s like Maresca never left.

...to tell you they’ve lumped a couple of balls into the box only to be crowded out.

90+4 min There’s no sense that Chelsea have practised breaking down a low block. They’ve played without wit, bravery, belief, devil, joy, cohesion, invention, imagination, conviction, urgency, and a million other words I’d use if I wasn’t duty-bound...

There's some great stuff from Man Utd fan Daniel Harris in the Guardian minute by minute. He didn't pull any punches on Chelsea.

Chelsea already have ruined football. And they continue to do so.

I agree, but we are where we are. More match day experiences for maximised revenues.

But we're paying the price of high end theatre. We used to be able to buy on the gate and get in for the price of a couple of pints. Now we're being squeezed as hard as possible. We are within our rights to expect some entertainment I think.

He spends the entire game moaning about some made up grievance or the other. No wonder he's always lost his voice for the post match interview.

They are quite young

They messed up some promising situations and there were some great blocks from Chelsea defenders. City really should have won. I'm amazed that the English press is praising a poor Chelsea team rather than picking holes in a City team that's failed to win when under pressure.

All in good time for the cricket season to start. Those were the days.

I think it's the level of control we have that upsets non Arsenal fans. Imagine how a rival fan feels watching the West Ham and Fulham matches. We didn't give them a sniff. There was nothing to set the pulse racing for a rival fan. That's why we get called boring. I hated prime Man City for that.

Discount the £20m United tax in those prices and you've still got some terrible value for money.

I don't know about that. I see no evidence of it. The Sky money has certainly helped fund coach education in clubs. I don't think there's a plan for schools and without free to air cricket on TV and cricket in schools I can't see how the game thrives.

I agree with the article. I'd like to know what it will take to get cricket back into state schools. Funding for coaches has been directed to clubs. Club cricket should be complementing, not replacing cricket in schools. I wonder if the ECB have even considered how to support state school cricket.
