We are saddened to report that G1 Transformers Writer Ron Friedman  has passed away the past September 15th as confirmed by Variety and other media. He was 93. Mr. Friedman worked in the classic G1 cartoon and the also produced two drafts for The Transformers: The Movie, both of which would have the basic structure of the film but with quite different characters and details. He also was part of several other animated projects like 1990’s “G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero” and Marvel’s 1994 “Fantastic Four” series.
