The amount of disrespect that comes out of the mouth of this poor excuse for a human being is beyond belief. He’s the face of this country and a spokesman for us to the rest of the world. How he was elected (twice!) is unbelievable and is a shame that America will never get over.

It’s all for show. First, he insisted that tariffs wouldn’t result in an increase in prices. Prices rose (like we knew they would because WE didn’t bankrupt casinos) and the complaints began. Now he’s going to reduce tariffs so prices decrease and the MAGA cult will insist he’s an economic genius.

Can someone explain to me how the Senate can legally impose a monetary penalty (that WE will pay) for a Special Prosecutor doing his job and getting a court order for phone records of suspects in a crime? And back date it?
Then the GOP members in the House squawk about it but pass it anyway.

I wholeheartedly agree with the reasons given in the column. I’ve long yearned for a younger, more dynamic and energetic leader, someone who can connect with citizens through all the forms of media, old and new. Even when he gets “fired up” he looks old and tired and O-L-D.

Some people have a gravitas and personality to attract a loyal following but I will NEVER understand what the MAGA crowd sees in Donald Trump. He’s insensitive, insecure and selfishly arrogant among many other unenviable traits.

I’ve seen the spin that Durbin voted for this to set a trap for the GOP when healthcare costs spike, hospitals close and people are kicked off Medicare. That seems a little heartless to me, intentional suffering for political gain.

Senate Democrats need to remove Schumer and Durbin and replace them with leaders who will stand up for us. Chris Murphy, Amy Klobuchar, Cory Booker, Tammy Baldwin, Brian Schatz to name some. The other thing that they have in common? They’re not old fogies.

Schumer needs to be replaced with someone who can keep the caucus in line. Real leadership would have resulted in a united front against the excesses of the GOP.
