I was exhausted and SO tempted to bounce after OT began really badly, but I'm so happy I stuck it out. (Fifty total points in one OT...18 just from Joker... just incredible.)

I presume pressure from the studio to make it more palatable to American audiences, the idea being that we can't handle a downer ending, unlike European audiences. To be fair, there's some truth to that.

Really rough, but the brutal ending (of the original) is what makes the film. Changing that made the remake pointless. Incredibly, the same director made both!

If they pretend they haven’t heard about the story of the day, end the interview right there.
