It's great to see albums from Jacken Elswyth and the Rheingans Sisters (EFDSS Creative Bursary recipients) included in @theguardian.com's top 10 folk albums of 2024.

Always regret not writing more on mechanics of broadcasting in old job.

Anyway, I *did not know* that the reason BBC Radio 4 still broadcasts on long wave in 2025 is that it secretly carries the Economy 7 signal for cheap overnight power on old electricity meters.
