It's more about arguments (about baggage) to be made locally, if and as and when they get selected as candidates. And from constituency to constituency it may well not be Labour making them.

I'm not. I'm saying there's been a lot of misogynistic criticism of her. In that context it's a good idea to specifically challenge her policies not her character. As well as 'doing politics better' you show your arguments to be more rational than those of the noisiest of your opponents.

It was a spontaneous comment. I was referring to the general climate being set by the worst of people, and my hope that Zack will be able to rise above that and focus on policies not people. I deleted it because Zack had seen it and answered directly.

My view: in the context of the personal abuse she gets (elsewhere, not from Greens) there's merit in not making it about her. Would any other Starmer chancellor be materially different, anyhow? Go hard on criticising the policies, decisions and consequences instead.
