-Opinions are my own-
My favorite part from the brotherly shove (tush push) haters saying the play is 'too hard to officiate' because of the missed offsides: this completely ignores that it's not the only play with a line of scrimmage refs officiate. That's every play, they're all as close as possible. That's the game.

*Steps up to the negotiation table* Ok, I think it's reasonable that the US adopt the metric system if the rest of the world uses decimal points to portray fractional numbers and commas to seperate thousands/millions/billions/etc. That is my offer...

I wonder if car manufacturers know that if they lock any basic functionality behind a subscription I will (and you should as well) put them on my list of companies to no longer do business with. www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/3...

Complex topics are hard for most of us to master individually, while experts in each field lack the energy to constantly correct oversimplifications online. This creates a cycle where bad takes fuel more bad takes with little to curb the flywheel.

It's as if the Trump admin and conservatives don't realize other countries exist. Ending all of this science funding doesn't permanently move money to Oil and Pharma. Other countries will end up overtaking us technologically and eventually economically. Making America Fall Behind

As a response to the Jubilee debate with Mehdi, I hope at some point the extreme right is finally viewed as unpatriotic to the moderate right. There is such a deep delusion on the values of what the US stands for right now it's hard to reconcile.

What a lot of people don't realize is everyone has self organized their online experience to create their own comfortable echo chambers and interacting with environments outside of that space feels like it's filled with morons. Whether Twitter or Reddit, we all live with a warped perspective.

So when do we start talking about the LDE epidemic in the US?

I think it's telling that people still demand access to ChatGPT in the enterprise over other LLMs, even though OpenAI's GPT models weren't necessarily the most performant shortly after release. Our society is stubbornly focused on brand recognition sometimes.

I was JUST thinking about how the biggest issue I've witnessed is overconfidence in cognitive ability from people who lack the skills to properly learn topics. www.psypost.org/conspiracy-b...
Conspiracy believers tend to overrate their cognitive abilities and think most others agree with them
People who believe in conspiracy theories tend to overestimate their own abilities and wrongly assume that others share their views, according to a new study. The findings highlight overconfidence as ...

My interesting thought of the day: The fact that people are afraid to go against the desires of Trump should tell you all you need to know about who he is as a person. This current culture of 'get in line or feel the wrath', targeted at ideals, unapologetically represents what the right feared.

I think what the tariffs miss the most is desirable products are the only way to truly ensure deep demand (thus the need for supply). Manufacture better products and there is no need to try to rig the system with a protectionist crutch.

One interesting behavior I've noticed trending is the thought that true intelligence is simplistic and 'common sense'. The smartest people can be comfortable with subtle nuances and can navigate logic while entrenched in ambiguity. 'Common sense' is increasingly a cop out for not wanting to learn.

Feels like public and private sector America are now filled with what I like to call "business boys/girls" whose hubris makes them think they are smart for devaluing people and guessing everyone can 'do more with less' without any consideration that we are all already at maximum production.

Brotherly shove (Tush Push) ban "gaining momentum" is absolutely random commentators wanting attention. Everyone can see that it takes skill and isn't an injury concern.

Craziest NFL stat I've heard in a while: There are only 4 Superbowl winning quarterbacks drafted in 2010 or later. Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), Russell Wilson (Seahawks), Nick Foles (Eagles), Jalen Hurts (Eagles).

Dear the rest of the world... We don't want him. I truly believe propaganda arms have driven those who support him to ignore their true desires. I don't actually believe he represents the US in any way and I hope his failure shows everyone why no one should support him and his principals.
