I don't understand the logic. They don't want to pay taxes and the way to do that is to tear down the government. That leaves anarchy and a crumbling society. How does that end satisfy them. Oh, the "they/them" are those who hold over 75% of the wealth of this nation.

Would 500 more National Guard troops have stopped this attack? No, but the FBI working a terrorism task force instead of immigration details might have discovered the threat.

So we have ordinary and extraordinary folks, a general public and the elite, working people and the privileged, all taking their place in the economy and the justice system. One group couldn't exist without the other while hiding behind the protection of the justice system.

Indeed, plane fares are much cheaper today than in the 70s , inflation adjusted. Coast to coast fares were $550+ and a 1st class ticket from NYC to Toronto was a little over $100 in 1973. However, salaries were probably 10% of current levels.

The Citizens United decision only allows Congressional action, laws, supported and enacted by those same politicians to change the status quo. Citizens must demand that politicians pledge support of laws to defeat Citizens United to get their vote. If you are a one issue voter, this is the one!

Failed to cut waste fraud and abuse, maybe, but that wasn't their objective. DOGE's objective was to collect government data and they were hugely successful in that.
