Sorry to hear this! Hopefully this isn’t due to a damaged disc. I had similar problems several years ago, and after I had the pain and numbness under control, I worked to strengthen my core. The numbness gradually faded and hasn’t returned for multiple years. Hope you recover soon!

The 2022 Nobel Prize in physics was given for the follow on experiments to this Bell paper. There’s good references in this write up: www.nobelprize.org/prizes/physi.... In particular, ref 9 outlines CHSH inequality, 12-14 are the spectacular expts of Aspect, and 35-38 are the loophole free expts

I’m a big fan of the rubber mallet myself. Have you tried venting your XPS with a glovebag? I have a III-V MBE system that is full of arsenic, so venting to air is usually followed by a 3 week bake. When we vent with a nitrogen purged glove bag we are back growing high quality films in a few days

But your diagram shows that metals (like Aluminum) don’t have a band gap, yet here you say its band gap is 1.68 eV, which corresponds to 738 nm. Are you saying that Al is transparent to light with longer wavelengths?
