Insider trading refers to those INSIDE a company (get it?) who use info not available to the public to buy and sell stocks. That IS illegal. What you’re discussing here is PRIVILEGED information, and the legality of it is dependent on the circs. Since there’s no evidence Pelosi did this, maybe STFU?

What are you upset about? A person buying a stock, then it increases in value, is not illegal. Sometimes the purchase itself causes the increase. Making money on the stock market is not automatically insider trading. That’s why there IS a stock market. To make money. You prolly don’t know that, tho.
