It’s literally what you see in the US. Most Americans live in a bubble, you are finally waking up in time to reap what you have sowed. I suspect you won’t like it I’m afraid.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

Another way to think about it: when you are a visitor in another country, different rules apply. I’ve been an immigrant in many countries, including the US, and I’ve always known that you are (for example) one glass of wine from a ticket home. It doesn’t matter how just your cause.

Or maybe they have.

It is by far and away the worst thing about the USA. 3 times I’ve been there as a legal non-permanent immigrant. 3 extraordinary painful experiences.

This is worth listening to again, particularly in light of what has gone on in the US over the last couple of months.
