Carl Carlson Rides Again is definitely one of the good modern simpsons episodes, I love how it explores Carl's origins and roots in black history, i like his dynamic with Naima and some of the animation is pretty good too, especially in the bull riding and bowling scenes

fine on it's own but as an adaptation, it's dull and lacks the dynamics that made the manga great,
pretty costumes and good performances
but not much substance
