There’s far too much hate for a bloke who’s done well for himself and been a huge success in America. And he’s key part of a brilliant show here which finished tonight. I just don’t get the hate. Who really knows what he’s like in person?

The MSM isn’t one entity. There are major differences in newspapers, radio stations and TV stations. Alternative news sources are every bit as biased and blind as their mainstream rivals. And there’s absolutely no nuance in social media.

Maybe the media hasn’t been very good on Ukraine and (certainly) Gaza, but social media has been absolutely insane about both.

The newspaper I worked for campaigned massively against the Iraq war and lost hundreds of thousands of readers because of it (unpatriotic apparently!). It’s campaigned against wealth inequality and for workers’ and equal rights for decades.

The ‘corporate’ media (whatever that means) isn’t one entity. It’s thousands of newspapers, radio stations, TV stations. I’d trust them more than I trust anything I read on social media.

A small element of the traditional media is unreliable, a tiny percentage of it damaging. Most of it is populated by hard working, diligent journalists. Much social media output is downright dangerous.
