Letting everybody have some say in everything results in process gridlock. His solution says to both push authority "down" (let property owners ultimately decide what housing they will build) and push authority "up" (the expert committee decides where the new power plant gets built.)

Update on Kagi Search. I spent a few days trying some different kinds of searches.

Pros: Excellent, specific, non-spammy results. If you're regularly doing technical, academic, or data-oriented research, this would be a great tool.

As of now, Bluesky does not offer a feature to approve followers manually. Currently, anyone can follow you without needing your approval.

The feature request was opened on GitHub on December 22, 2024.

But I see that you CAN restrict comments on your posts to followers only.

I am fascinated by this graph. Dividing American voters by thirds in wealth, we see two amazing things here. For each election since 1960, the top third and bottom third mirror each other almost precisely, one goes up, the other goes down, and vice versa. Why would that be, necessarily?
