More likely "the team's feeling" was they gave a big long term contract under pressure from the fanbase and have been looking for a way out of it. Congrats to them, they did it. The team was finally turning around so of course let's destroy ourselves from within. Pathetic from ownership.

He didn't want to be a DH but did it. So when the FO decide they then want him fielding again barely 2 months later when Raffy has adjusted and is literally hitting better than anyone I don't blame him for wanting to stay as DH.
