@jigarshahdc.bsky.social lays out a fact-based and ruthless dissection of Bill Gates’ recent memo on climate.
As the administration and elites continue to distract/delay, it’s important to speak truth to those who misuse their power. www.latitudemedia.com/news/open-ci...
Why is Bill Gates stuck on the tired innovation vs. deployment debate?
The billionaire’s latest letter caused a meltdown — but there was one piece missing from the discourse.

After successfully hijacking the Biden administration’s efforts to effectively address the climate crisis, BP is now separating from Princeton’s Climate Mitigation Initiative. Good riddance.
It is shameful that this relationship lasted as long as it did. www.dailyprincetonian.com/article/2025...
Princeton and BP agree to end 25-year funding for Carbon Mitigation Initiative
Stephen Pacala, the CMI director, told The Daily Princetonian that BP and CMI had elected not to renew their contract after the current five-year term expires at the end of 2025.

Great night talking about wind turbine fact and fiction with a dozen high school students while on dorm duty tonight. I feel very lucky to teach kids who can scream at the Bills v Ravens game and pivot with an interesting question about marine sound pollution. Lots of new wind energy fans, go Bills!

My sister hosted a special live event in New Orleans for the 20th anniversary of Katrina. The event was both joyful and bittersweet as guests reflected on lessons learned and the road ahead. It is so good to!

The easiest way to mitigate so many climate impacts in the U.S. is to significantly increase the number of beavers. The postglacial American landscape was built by beavers.
So simple, but folks look at you funny when you say it out loud.

Documents of sale have been signed! So excited to announce our next conservation project in Mass!!! Like many of our climate investments, this one may seem odd but our world can’t exist without pollinators so we’re going to step up. LFG.

Every state in the U.S. should be moving ahead full steam on beaver and wetlands restoration.

Groundwater is drying out, heating up, and causing sea level rise
Overuse of groundwater has created zones of “mega-drying” around the world — and caused more sea level rise than Greenland’s ice sheets.

An infuriating reminder that President Biden refused to use his authority to declare a climate emergency or energy emergency in order to fast track renewables. The IRA was never enough and an emergency declaration could’ve focused on direct support for people, not just tax credits.
