Restoring order to 1970s Belfast
Seriously some of the most self-indulgent tortured shit I've ever read.

We don't have to welcome people to our side, but I think in a lot of instances, people engage in unproductive catharsis when someone is admitting their mistakes. Like they're taking the first opportunity possible to yell at someone just because they're finally within earshot.

The most he offered was 100k and you could tell that all of those guys were only thinking about what it would feel like to win 100k, not about how they would react to needing to execute shots with 100k on the line and potentially losing a point for your team.

At one point during the event, he was offering teams that won on the final hole of their match extra money to go back and play the final hole again with their match point at risk. All of the degenerates were appalled when the teams rejected his offers, even though it was logically the correct choice

He had a 10k bet on the finals in a tournament that he hosted AND was the final say on all rules judgements. And he was actively meddling with his employee that was playing in the finals, trying to get in his head.

Starkest example I've seen recently: The Internet Invitational golf tournament that Barstool hosted. There are a handful of guys from that group that are utterly degenerate gambling addicts, especially Portnoy. Dude was bumbling around the golf course the whole event trying to get his fix.

Granted I've only been through each of them once so it may have been a fluke, but my Dulles experience was worse than LaGuardia. I did not enjoy the mobile lounge experience at all.

He is actually a fairly competent economist. He just lost his damn mind and left his lane.

I haven't seen anything to suggest that the deal included the House. I think Dems are just trying to get them on the record voting against it. I don't think they expect it to pass the vote in the Senate.

I wonder if he found this plausible because it's something HE would do.

They took him out back and shot him after this. He's a literal glue guy now.

Also NAL - is the court saying that the irreparable harm is greater if you deny the government it's desire to starve its own people than if you actually starve the people?

lol @ Helen Andrews being brought in for this

Uh oh. Bari Weiss is going to have some angry phone calls in the morning.

I mean there's a reason that they got behind this redistricting amendment in the first place. They knew it had no teeth from the beginning and they had zero intention of ever complying with the spirit of it. And when Justice O'Connor retired, that was the nail in the coffin for fair districts.

His #1 political belief is that "Andrew Cuomo should be in power somewhere". Everything else is negotiable.

While that is obviously the funniest part of that piece, the second funniest part is that it was written by the Wall Street Journal's FILM CRITIC.

If only moderate Dem "thought leaders" cared about winning elections as much as they care about bringing the left wing of their party to heel.
