Apparently, 70% of heads don't know this. The real question here is how do we get evidence to the people who make the decisions.

Potentially schools panicking thinking they have to evidence they are doing something about attendance

Think this deserves well done on two platforms

Yes scary that I ever allowed all my work to sit on such a small easy to lose device.

Not quite the same but in my NQT year a pupil stole my USB pen from the back of my desktop computer i was devastated, wish one drive existed in those days.

This is a great addition, the other thing I would love to see is some way of monitoring how much time pupils spend on the revision packs. We utilise these before tests, but I don't know how much engament there is. Monitoring would allow us to praise and encourage use.

A long time ago when I trained I spent a week I'm a primary and I loved it. Never seen so many faces smiling back st me. Perhaps that says more about my teaching though

Yes chatting to other colleague is nice opportunity to reflect, but to hear from current heads on how they deal with some of the challenges I identified about would be helpful. This is why im considering moving from a standalone academy to a trust so I can learn more from those in the role.

I am enjoying it, But the less glamorous and most challenging things haven't been covered yet and don't know if they will. Dealing with uncooperative parents, having to make budget cuts, trying to meet external pressure, (ofsted, goveners, parents, SIPs)

When I was younger I wanted to be a head. When I got into senior leadership and saw the role up close, it started to lose appeal. I started my NPQH this year with the hope it would give me insight beyond what I can see. Safe to say I'm still on the fence.

We have 4-6 pupilsn go to Oxbridge most years. Apart from those taking further maths they almost always take 3 a levels.

Really enjoyed this. I. I have been thinking a lot about the role of routines and SDT. For example, incorporating a routine like lining up outside classroom would reduce teacher autonomy but hopefully increase competence as well as relatedness when they see everyone else doing the same thing.

Establishing positive social norms for a productive classroom environment
The topic of behaviour management and the problems teachers face in dealing with disruption to lessons continues to evoke strong argument within the profession. In a survey by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (2014), 40 per cent of respondents had ‘considered leaving the profession because of the poor behaviour of students’. Aside from the […]

I’m afraid our recent research in secondary schools provides evidence that this is likely to be a systemic problem:

An Evaluation of Secondary School Students’ Use and Understanding of Learning Strategies to Study and Revise for Science Examinations
There is currently no population-based data evaluating secondary school-aged students’ use, or understanding of, learning strategies to study/revise independently for science. There is also no researc...
