My faith leads me.
My philosophy guides me.
My words convict me.
I am guilty of love.
So Florida is scared of the rainbow crosswalk. Enough to post guards - the highway patrol on key crosswalks.

They are more worried about "The Gay" than speeders, dealers, and actual criminals.

What does this show us?

1. The stupidity of hate.
2. The stupidity of republicans.

Love Is Love.

Each of us is continually transforming into our authentic selves. For some, the transformation is more visible.

And it begins. The stench rises and the end is near.

From blistered marches to zip-line trust falls, from blistering heat to lifelong brotherhood – these are the moments that define courage, camaraderie, and the title Marine.

Life’s trick is no secret - breathe deeply, live in the moment, honor the past, plan ahead, and let love and happiness find you in their time.

What type of Christian are you?
Have you weaponized Scripture?
Or is it a bandage?

There are extremists in every faith.

These are mine.

When intolerance masquerades as faith.
When women attack women in God's name. Hate rules the day.

Trump is as awarded as a North Korean General.

And like the General, his awards are shiny, large, and meaningless to anyone outside his world.

His awards highlight his ego; they celebrate his arrogance, not his goodness, or his love of humanity.

One of my favorite poems by Shel Silverstein.

Perhaps the most famous quote in literary history. Even if you have never read Dickens, I am certain you heard or read the opening sentence to "A Tale Of Two Cities" someplace else.

I only dream of having writing brilliance like him.

What is your favorite literary quote?

I was saved by a grough, aging veteran, who saw my pain, loss, and suffering. Instead of preaching, quoting scripture, or judging me fallen; he bought me a beer. He offered me his ear and a gentle touch. He convinced me life was worth the pain, that I could make sense of it all. Thank You Irv.

An immoral act cast upon one citizen, is cast upon all.

I am deeply affected by the destruction of freedoms, liberties and rights of my fellow Americans.

If I stand by indifferently and allow these things to occur, I am not a moral agent. I become immoral by my inaction and silence.

I stand!

I'm commenting because the force, or perhaps the voices in my head, told me to comment. I'm not sure anymore.

(I actually hear voices so they may have told me. 😄)

I can picture myself attempting to pole dance. It would go something like this.

My 6'9" 300 lbs red-headed, middle-aged frame grabs the pole, wraps my left leg around the pole, and leaps high into the air. Gravity still works and I fall to the ground, breaking a hip.

I was once considered a hot twink. Somewhere along the way, I wandered away from that title and stumbled my way into becoming a chub. I'm not sure how to handle this.

I can now safely confirm, that the Veterans Hospital did, in fact, serve me bacon today for breakfast.

It was simply marvelous!

What a REAL man, humanitarian, Statesman, and President thought. We will never have a quote like this from Trump. His quote will be, "Fetch men another Big Mac boy."

It was the abuse of faith that justified my being raped for years. It was, however, not faith that did the raping, but the men who abused faith

Faith is neither good nor evil, but a neutral element until applied by humanity

There can be good in faith if the moral compass used to apply it is just

If I forces my beliefs on you, threatening damnation if you do not believe as I do, I am not living my faith. I am abusing it.

Walk away from me.

Remember this if you are assaulted with scripture because someone disagrees with you.

You are not the issue. You are loved.

They are the problem.
