The basic tier (levels 0-6) has the heroes looking for people to help, going into dungeons, etc. In the advanced tier (levels 7-14) people are looking for heroes to solicit their help, subordinate and domain management. The expert tier (level 15-20) adds large scale troop movement, and siege warfare

When you explore a new area you may receive some experience or fraction thereof (rounded to the nearest .25, including 0). Each character you interact with will have dialog skill check thresholds that may have different difficulty levels.

In combat you are most likely to suffer those conditions that can boost the experience points you gain.

beasts’ bellies don’t burst with points when slain here. The number of experience points you receive will depend on the level and difficulty of the challenge in relation to your level, plus any graded conditions you may be suffering (bloodied, dehydrated, cold and hot).
