Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!
But we do need cupboards, bookcases and display cabinets. Because we collects, we does, my preciouses. Shells and stones, twigs and bones, 17th century shiny things and .. running shoes!

Well, it was filmed there ...

It was cold. And wet. But I enjoyed that more than I'd expected! (Still in shorts, but I did wear a long-sleeve top/ jacket and my Cascadias, which with a pair of Injinji trail socks, kept my feet cosy.)

7.16km 6:25/ km avg pace, with a target of 45 min @ 131 bpm.

Oddly, I didn't look this happy at the end of my run.
It was very wet today. #runsky #fitover60

Yes, I'm useless at taking selfies.
Yes, I got out for a run.
Yes, I do look a bit like one of those #runningpunks

It was a nice day but, since I ran yesterday, I just went for a walk in the woods. I do like Autumn when it's like this.

What about this girl JD? Are her eyes not pleading enough?

Is it just me that feels this constant focus on migration by politicians just boosts Reform? The more they bang on about it, the more it normalises the 'valid concerns' of those that want to burn down hostels!

And is she really meaning to link asylum seekers to disorder? How does that help ffs!?

It's Charles that's my favourite. Who of course not only continued with the tradition of 'coins not-for-circulation' through the Royal Touch, but also distributed medals and badges to his loyal supporters. A fascinating period, numismatically speaking!

Hey guys. Anyone seen my water bottle?

Looks just like this one (with a few more scratches from when it broke my fall).

I know I had it Tuesday after my evening run but can't find it now. 🫤

This makes me happy. It's a small medallion that would have been owned by a supporter of King Charles I of England (1625-1649) to show loyalty to the crown during the English Civil War period. Literally history in your hands.

Any bored bookish followers?

I'm rather enjoying Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries.
(Just about to start Book 3).

I do love this sort of thing. A tiny Royalist badge from the English Civil War era. On the obverse, a bust of King Charles I (1625 - 1649). To the reverse the Royal Arms and Garter motto.

This one appears to have had black lacquer applied to it.

Donald Trump announced today that, following discussions about executive orders, the law firm Wolfram & Hart will receive $1Bn from the government to leave them alone.

Once again, I failed to finish the Barkely Marathons.

So, I haven't done anything, but .. preview's back.
Yay! Though curious to know what made it work again!

Saturday Long(er) Run. It's nice to finally be able to venture out without long sleeves, gloves or calf warmers!

Hoorah for milder weather!
