Really enjoyed this book. Great to hear the story of human evolution and its expansion across the world told through our DNA. Lots of insight I’ve not read before and some important lessons in there for today and tomorrow. #paeloanthropology #humanevolution

This week the NI Assembly debated a motion on unpaid carers led by Gerry Carroll. It called on the Communities Minister, George Lyon MLA, to introduce a carer’s allowance supplement scheme (similar to Scotland), as recommended by the Carer Poverty Commission NI. The motion was passed by all parties.

Yesterday was our All Wales Carers Assembly. It was a brilliant day, but hard to hear a lot of the stories given by carers about their every day experiences. There is so much we need to do to ensure that all carers get a good quality of life, as it is clear that too many are living at crisis point.
