Some feel it’s so much easier to have someone else think for you, especially when you can’t understand how eroding rights for someone erodes them entire.

I didn’t vote for Trump and some of these business owners didn’t. However, asking Canadians for monetary help is the wrong move. You should be talking to your Reps and Senators to hold Trump accountable. This is like asking your neighbor to cover for your own rabid dog. Our problem, not Canada’s.

Seems like extremism in every religion corrupts absolutely. Christianity, Hinduism, Islam - they all have violent factions that don’t follow the religious texts and spirit or use the texts to oppress and/or control. And those factions are louder and more powerful than the non-extremist majorities.

Nope. The Democratic Party is bad at basic politicking so they pretend they’re further right because the other party has already done the electorate “programming”. When a D gets into office, they’re not governing on the right.

Some in the middle did, and some like me did not. But you have to ask yourself why. When Trump is saying he’ll fix the economy (a lie) and Harris is saying the economy is fine (not for everyone), then it’s clear why some voted for the shitbag.

No it’s time for progressives and conservatives to listen and let the middle speak.

Starting a co-op insurance company is going to fix NONE of that. Michael is incrediblv naive.

Prescription drug companies that boo hoo over drug price controls claiming it will kill innovation, but a) their marketing budgets are bigger and b)price controls in the rest of the world doesn't seem to negatively impact Lily, Roche, AstraZeneca, Novartis, etc.

Then there's the medical providers themselves. Raked over by predatory lawyers and outrageous professional insurance. Hospitals that are allowed to turn nobody away that then increases the cost for all that do pay.

Most Americans get insurance through the employer & there is no market there. Employees get one insurer but choice of plans. That is no market; less price competition. Sure the insurers compete for companies, but there's TONS of kick backs. They more compete on kick backs than employee cost.

Stakeholders want to maximize profit. Consumers want to minimize their cost. These is a lot of tension here. There's so many things to fix before we even sniff what Michael said. PBMs are unnecessary monopoly tools.

EVERY MA insurer is experiencing this. UNH didn't hedge this risk & then reacted to slowly when it was clear so profits and stock dropped. There's continuing pressure because claims develop over time. True financial impact is still unknown. Lawsuits can be filed for any reason & most are frivolous.

Absolutely not. This guy is lying to you to promote his agenda.
Promote away, but don't lie. What he is lying about was they didn't have to approve more claims. The Biden administration changed the Medicare Advantage funding calculations and that put insurance companies on the hook for higher reimb.

I said this to someone yesterday. I didn’t like when Obama and Biden did this either. And now they can see why when the impact is arguably worse.
