Front Mission is one of my SNES faves. Anything from Square is worth checking out. Also like Tactics Ogre, Pugsly's Scavenger hunt, Breath of Fire, Cybernator/Assault Suits Valken. On the N64 I have less experience but I liked 1080 Snowboarding.

Been reading 'Valley of Genius' by Adam Fisher. Takes me back to the positive, humanistic notion of personal computing that inspired me in the 80s and early 90s, and reveals the missed opportunities and telling narrow sightedness that led to today's much more dystopian scene. Highly recommended.
