I once did a metaphorical slow clap as I told a Luddite/guy that it was not a badge of honour that he can do a 650-mile trip in his diesel without having to stop once for a piss.

I was at an event in San Fran in 2008 playing Ninja Gaiden 2 and realised he was observing from a distance. Completely went to pieces and felt like I was hammering the controller with 2 fists. Behind those glasses he gave nothing away but in my mind he was tutting and shaking his head in disgust.

I have used IONOS for years and they’re great. I pay £9.99/month but can host unlimited domains. Might be overkill for you, but in a world of Wix and Squarespace subscriptions, it’s cheap.

Not sure why in these scenarios “playing video games” is always dropped in pejoratively. It would be ok if they watched Corrie and Love Island and drank Stella every night, though.

I tested renting a high-end “online” PC from shadow.tech for that very reason. The fans kick in and are very distracting whenever I try and do anything in UE5. Seems to work alright, but nothing beats that local in-the-room experience.
