At our age we're cutting back on evening visits to London for anything, though it's actually little to do with age. Trains back to our bit of the south coast are a bit chancy, and if anything runs late or there's a train problem, we're marooned. Also, the expense of rail + tickets can be quite high.

There's one country that everyone else should avoid as being too dangerous by far: the USA.

Subject to change in three years.

Why doesn't the BBC just leave this alone? Surely there are more important things in the US to worry about? Greenland, the official murder of an unarmed mother, the other murders by ICE, and so on?
Let's get some balance back.

I was there! My first time was at a concert on the South Bank - Queen Elizabeth Hall, I believe.
I ears were scrambled by what I heard; they were as good as the YouTube vids and the CDs.
I'm now older, and wiser, and know better.
And d'you know what? They're equally good. Better, even.

No.
He or she should call out injustice and inhuman laws and behaviour. More he or she should be a genuine Christian.

After the hilarity of Terry Pratchett's "Luggage" I give you the self-ambulant chairdog. Faithful to the last, he will follow you through thick and (not too) thin to provide rest when you need it.

If you read my posts you'll notice that I very deliberately didn't declare anyone sad, nor did I denigrate any other person. Their behaviour, on the other hand, is sad. As to courtesy, everyone should show courtesy toward everyone else. Were they to do so the world would be a nicer place to live in.

I didn't say you were sad. I said that the attitude was sad. Your decision not to try a courteous discussion about it is ill advised and underlines the sadness of the attitude you chose.

A sad attitude. Read the Bible, relate it to life, real life, and then understand it and understand where it's valid and where its commandments are outdated in modern times.

Err.... That's the Taj Mahal, Agra, India; it's not the Pavilion at Brighton, UK.

Oh dear... you don't want to understand, do you? It's a good thing we're on different continents; it'd be interesting, but horrible, to meet you.

Sentence by sentence:
1. No, they are not.
2. Some, weak minded 'men' might. Others, the majority don't.
3. I rely on evidence, not knee-jerk reactions.
4. I can empathise with people, thanks. And to believe that life as a woman is 'bad' really makes me wonder what company you're keeping.
