Cornwall’s Scarlet Hotel’s architects even added dribble/ejaculate. Often easy to spot if you fly into Newquay Airport

Correction for 2/
I meant Deacon and not Devon. Blooming autocorrect got me and I didn’t notice.

While Tommy-Two-Names and the Reform lot are reprehensible, they are fairly open about their desire for a white Britain (and that is what they want, even if they dress it up as traditional British values). The Telegraph, and its column writers hide their apparent racism and that’s worse IMO End/

A quick check of their photos will see why. Of course I can’t be sure, but as far as I can tell homogeneity only matters for Deacon if it’s non-whites and ideally Asian origin names that will get Telegraph readers fearful or frothing at the mouth 7/

Additionally there are 7 x Evans (32% over 3 names) and 4 x Thomas (36% over just 4 names) but Deacon isn’t crying ‘homogeneous’ about Welsh councils, why not? 6/

In one reply in our conversation the AI compared the two Asian names to Jones and Davies in Wales. So I asked it to look for examples and it found Carmarthenshire County Council with 23% of councillors with just these two names 5/

While it’s likely these names are over represented compared to the electorate, clustering on a small council of just 45 councillors does happen and is maybe what’s happened here, rather than anything more sinister as Deacon seems to manage to suggest. But there’s more… 4/

Of course there is. Ahmed is an Arabic name meaning “highly praised” and is widespread across the Muslim world. Chowdhury/Choudhury historically denoted a landowner or village chief, and became a hereditary title. 3/
November 14, 2025 at 8:33 AM
While AI isn’t without its issues, it’s great at looking at this sort of case, so I first asked, as Devon could have, about the two names (the second was Ahmed) and whether there was a reason they were so prevalent 2/

Is it really different to how the Murdoch press, the Mail and the Telegraph have promoted right wing policies, sometimes subtly and sometimes less so? I’m not saying I agree with it, but the newspapers have done it for decades. It’s propaganda for the modern age

My son is in Australia for a year. This was the one moment of the game I told him to find and watch back - exceptional control and incredible shot, only matched by an equally superb save.

And hats off to the @wolvesfc.bsky.social fans as they didn’t stop singing yesterday - some negativity, some gallows humour, but always pretty loud

Hard agree from a Fulham fan - you know the team that supposedly has a neutral end (we don’t - we did, but we don’t now)

Sadly, by the time it’s called out the (in some cases virtual) petrol bombs are being prepared by some. And I suspect the way the algorithms work, those who need to see the rebuttal will never actually see it anyway.

Is there a link for more info? Would be interested in either of the SW rivers

I’m generally fairly vociferous in regards to pedestrian rights and the hierarchy, but feel I would allow a funeral procession to pass as one if I were waiting to cross.
