Wonderful stuff! Thanks for posting. I squealed when I saw those lovely and obscure North Mayo locations like the old churchyard at Kilmurray and the parish church at Crossmolina. I hope you and your band-mates have fond memories of your visit.

The previous ferry is adequate for the level of demand. The real problem is that this journey, in terms of cost per minute of travel time, has always been - by far - the most expensive public transport journey in London. It should be about the price of a bus fare. Fix that, please.

I'm sure there are several. I thought of Blackpool - roughly the same size as Cambridge. Has three central stations - North, South and Pleasure Beach - and a couple more in the suburbs.

Former DfT senior civil servant here. I disagree. Britain can run mega-projects successfully. But too many of my former colleagues assumed HS2 to be so exceptional and extraordinary that our previous experience somehow didn't apply. That's why we're in this mess now.
