I wanted a digital photo frame but they all suck so I made my own. Cost about the same but no apps or subscription! Portable monitors are crazy thin these days.

Finally figured out how to make bread!
A sandwich loaf with sesame seeds on top. Several slices are leaning against the rest of the loaf. The structure is really nice, with medium-sized and very even bubbles. This is a loaf that an amateur baker can be proud of.

Christmas cuddles
A sleeping calico kitten cradled between my arm and my belly. The angle is from her feet looking through to her scrunched up face. The only way I can think of to describe the orientation of her front paws is "so comfortable she doesn't care"

Had my students suss out the period-doubling cascade in the logistic map today. Went pretty well!
