Cities, urban economics, housing, puns, poetry and pop music. Views are mine.
Me too, but there is some difference between an apology for misleading editing, and the abject grovelling and retraction that his lawyers seem to be demanding.

I had that trying to book a room for a wake. Could only get through to a centralised booking line; no local number at all. That lost them £££ in thirsty mourner spend.

I thought and wrote some more about this, and about how 1980s nuclear dread pervaded pop culture. richardfjbrown.co.uk/2025/11/11/g...
Glad it’s all over

More in my piece for OnLondon.

TLDR? Poverty in London is serious, pervasive and largely driven by housing costs. That's not to belittle the problems faced elsewhere, but doesn't mean London should be defunded either. 5/5 www.onlondon.co.uk/richard-brow...
Richard Brown: London's distinctive patterns of deprivation
The government's new Index of Multiple Deprivation has revealed concealed hardships in the capital, despite some distortions and daft debates

Other indices are head-scratchers. The Living Environment Index defines deprivation in terms of lacking a garden, noise pollution, energy performance, and traffic. Belgravia, Knisghtbridge and Primrose Hill score badly, as would most other hugh density urban areas. 4/5
