Yes, the Trump administration is causing incredible damage at a rapid pace. Both at home and in terms of American soft power. But nobody is even contemplating invading the USA - that's just fantastical thinking - a pointless rabbit hole and a diversion.

Nobody is going to invade the US. Why are you even wasting braincells on this?

Wonderful.

What fresh hell is this? ;)

What's the question?

No, that would be the wrong move. Nothing positive would come of rescinding it, and it would look petty and drag him more directly into politics. The best route would be to just drag out and drag out the timescale, and that's what I would expect will happen.

...or use US platforms. Like this one...

Russia is not the threat people make out. It is dwarfed by the EU in every scale other than land size and warheads. Trying to grind out a win over Ukraine, at a heavy price, is it operating at the top of its abilities.

I don't see an obvious route where this turns into WW3. But, it is a very direct route to thousands of dead American soldiers, endless instability, and no peace at home.

Clearly, his plan will be to annex Greenland, move 2 million Palestinians there, then take control of Gaza. D'uh.

Tariffs are primarily there as a disincentive to import into the market that imposes them. They don't bring any new money into the country. But they can reduce demand for those imported goods, favouring domestic providers, if they exist.

Not sure what you are calling for, but when the US collects tariffs, it collects them from US importers. The US will be collecting money from its own businesses. Same for all.

Yes, that's too much. That's quite aggressively competitive. They must view Korg as their primary competitor in the affordable synth market - which I suppose they are. Korg were the Behringer of the '70s.

I'm concerned that proud brands like Korg, who have always sought to democratise electronic music production, and still have competitively priced gear today, will get left behind. As for some of the others - f*ck them - they have created equipment for wealthy collectors, out of reach for most.

45 minutes in... linking 2600 CV out to the SY-1 tune in. I think I'm going to be pleased with this purchase...

30 minutes in, working things out, it's a lot of fun.

It occured to me that having bought a Korg MS-20mini, a Korg Minilogue and a Korg Volca Keys, all great value, I've since bought 5 Behringer synths, with the only other in between being a Moog Sub37 swap deal. I wonder if Korg's sales are doing OK given the competition in the sub £1000 market...

It's clear that any major tech platform from any other country will either be acquired (such as the UK's Deepmind) or if that's not possible, restricted, banned and suppressed. The USA clearly will not accept any serious competition. They demand to be the only game in town.
