If you wonder about the term "alt", it comes from HTML, where there as an "alt=" attribute for the <img> tag, that browsers for non-seing people normally read up.

It seems that with docs generally being made available on the web, the structure inferred by the manpage format doesn't help very much, unless you already are invested in the Unix command line ways.

Having grown up in a metric environment, I've looked at imperial going "why are they doing that to themselves?"
But then, the adoption of metric back a few hundred years wasn't exactly easy in Europe either...

That..... actually sounds like good use of AI.
Maybe something I should try (I've been quite sceptical of using AI for my stuff, so far)
