Which video editor did you settle on - if DaVinci Resolve, have you considered getting the Speed Editor? (Perhaps equivalent products exist for other editing packages.)

Aerodynamic issues perhaps less of a concern at the sort of speeds the Enterprise gets up to? (In 1947 it took 2h15m by steam.)

I've not experienced or heard of this. But, it definitely seems to be the case that autistic people are good at detecting/gravitating to each other. And, synaesthesia and autism have a significant overlap, so wondering if there might be something of that sort going on. Sounds potentially useful!
