Yes, because there was only one cop there, and "not moving" when your chosen protest is "not moving when told" is definitely cowardice, particularly when you continue to not comply while being actively violenced in the face.

It's a silly debate because it's not like we have the option to switch and see who has it easier, but I think US cops would just shoot the firefighters.
The French seem to consistently excel at taking a protest nationwide, but in a context where the cops don't view everyone as a de facto threat.

According to a quick search, the spores are far more resilient. 160°C for two hours in an autoclave. Commercial canning uses high temperature and pressure to kill it faster, but a quick trip through a normal oven wouldn't be enough to kill the spores, and maybe only enough to destroy the toxin.

In my house you're referred to as "Florida bird man". Came for the books, stayed for the birds.

I actually didn't know I could do that. I come on here to read posts by a handful of authors and creatives who say weird and funny stuff, but I've just been almost dreading it the past few days. This will make my browsing a lot less stressful.

Yeah, I replied before it occurred to me that I shouldn't bother giving consideration to weirdos and blocked them.

I'm glad you don't know anyone affected by the global pandemic. Maybe you're so lucky because so many people *did* follow the rules.
Regardless of the outcomes, feeling entitled enough to violate public health measures is a shitty thing to do.

Yeah, I found the article now and that was a comparatively minor but real wtf moment. Like, if it didn't violate quarantine going from someplace dense like London to your isolated cottage seems reasonable, if privileged. But putting people at risk to leave somewhere safe... Shitty and baffling.

I didn't see that there was an article, and knowing that it was breaking quarantine protocol makes it clear why it was a shitty thing to do.

I'm legitimately not defending the guy, but I don't immediately see what's wrong with going "away" during a pandemic.

Followed. I love cat picture/s.

I feel like a movie adaptation would cut too many parts that made it fun, and a TV adaptation would inevitably add weird fluff.
I could see a graphic novel being fun.

They'll obstinately refuse to approve anything under emergency procedures. It'll take years for anything to get approved and people will cheer how they're being safe "this time", despite knowing nothing of what happened last time.
