Hah. Turns out combining my old workflow with beans + cylinders is THE way to go. Now i can easily make sketches to gauge proportions and perspective/shapes before drawing the character and doing lineart.

Thinking I’m done with this. Tried out a ton of new stuff too, not sure how much I’ll adopt for my style.

I didn't think of it at first, but hopping between 2D and 3D is actually a really good way for me to strengthen the brain pathways related to knowing anatomy.
Plus, it helps me loosen up my poses a lot. This might work.
