Why are we still listening to what the US has to say now that they even refuse to support Ukraine? What's their role supposed to be exactly? Why do they even have a say in this?

In a way, it's different from other bubbles: the companies creating it essentially own the US government, so they can just keep it alive for as long as they want with public money. In that sense, the bubble may well not deflate ever, and just keep pumping public money into billionaires' pockets

Why would someone need the ability to grant arbitrary pardons? You can have pardons and amnesties as a result of a 2/3 majority vote in parliament as in other countries

The ability for a president to pardon someone is an obvious breach of the separation of powers and obviously prone to abuse. Presidents should not be able to pardon people at any time or for any reason. The president is not a king

I think at this point the US constitution is irremediably compromised. If the US gets out of this authoritarian spiral there would need to be a new constitutional assembly to draft something more in line with modern democracies
