When I walked in, they were:
🧣 collecting winter gear for local students
🥫 gathering non-perishable food items
🎨 checking on the Christmas ornaments around town, painted by local students in Leigh’s studio

While I was there, I was pleased to present Leigh and her team with a Holiday Spirit Award for the incredible work they do all year to give back and strengthen our community.

Jannet asked that special thanks be shared with Michelle Langevin, Wayne Spicer, and Clarence Foster for their hard work and dedication in making the Outdoor Holiday Market such a success.

Thank you to everyone involved for bringing warmth, light, and holiday cheer to Tweed.

This year, the market was recognized as one of thirty must-see Christmas markets in Ontario — putting Tweed alongside some of the biggest centres in the province. That’s an amazing achievement for our community.

Year after year they step up — collecting toys, organizing donations, and making sure local families have gifts under the tree and smiles on Christmas morning. This is community service in every sense of the word.
